21 marzo My Reference LetterWoke up at 6:00am this morning only to be in time for the appointment with the professer. Putting on some clothes casually then rushed out for the Big Blue Bus. On the bus ,looking out of the window, everything seems so natural to me now. Knocking at the door cautiously then waiting anxiously for the reply of professor,I was reaaally nervous at that time.Door opened, he asked me to come in and sit down. After some gossip, our formal conversation beggan.I had aticipated some tough questions before. However, he only asked me about my performance in the mid-term,case, major in China then that is it.Nothing else! After finding out the template in his pc, he just simply changed the tittle of name then printed it out.The content is as followed:

Well, so honor I am:) India versus ChinaBefore i came to US, i seldom heard of news about India. But having studied here for three months, i found that ,in the eyes of American people, China and India are two growing giants. Some days ago i listened to a podcast in which Jack Welch made a comparison between China and India from four different aspects as followed: infrastructure, political stability, economic growth and human rescource.
From the point of Jack, India has a more appealing political stability than China because they are more democratic than China. Is that true? I don't know. Talking about the HR, the two countries both share the same attribute of a super large population and high growing rate. With a large basic amount, there are, without any doubt, all kinds of HR which can be fit into the development of their own countries, On the other hand, however, education also became a headache for both governemnts with such a large population but limited funds.I don't know the situaion in India, but in China, education has become a growing concern, which draw on a lot of public debates.
In the aspects of infrastructure and economic growth, China has a undeniable advantages over India. Because of the relatively centralized government, China can focus more on the development of economic and infrastructures. That's the benefit of centralization.Since 1980s,the world has wittnessed the unprecendented economic growth of a country. However we have to admit that there are some downsides of it too. Economics has been growing without the accordance of education, medicare, social welfare , etc.It arouse somehow quite a lot of social problems, some of which have been noticed, some of which are still underlying.
While the outside world are comparing us with India, it seems that the majority of us still haven't paid enough attention to our ambitious neighbour. In my opinion, the medias ,nowadays, focused too much attention on the issues of Taiwan and Japan. They are important, but they don't worth that much papers. On the other hand, it's necessary for public medias to take up the resposibility of waking up the majority of us--Be ware of India, they are approaching us. A couple of years later, they will be the major competitor of us in the global stage. 20 marzo About ChinaCame across a journal just now which solved some of my confusion these days.Quoted here to share with everybody.
All the best China!I am proud of you. |
